PAR MINI DUATHLON | THE HARE

Kick off the Cornish Mini Tri Series 2022 in style. With a smooth, fully tarmacked closed road bike circuit and spectator friendly run course through Par Sands Holiday Park – Par Mini Duathlon (run - bike - run) is a treat, whether you are a hare or a tortoise. Please note that 15-16y olds will be racing the Senior Little Hare course (see SENIOR EVENT).
Micro Hare: Our youngest participants (5-8y) will be unleashed on a new course in 2022 for a fun, non timed Scootathlon (scoot-bike-run), the Micro Hare, a real highlight for aspiring triathletes!

FAMILY CUP
Has your family got what it takes to lift the Family Cup? Each family team consists of at least one SENIOR EVENT entry and one junior entry, with the best ranked parent and child from each family setting the team's score. Register the whole gang for the best chance to claim the crown and a great day out for the whole family. Parents helping out as volunteers for the junior event also benefit from a 50% discount on the junior entry fee.
EVENT DISTANCES
All age groups as of 31-Dec 2022:
- 5-8y: 400m scoot – 400m bike – 400m run
- 8y: 300m run – 1.5k bike – 300m run
- 9y-10y: 1.0k run – 3k bike – 0.5k run
- 11-12y: 1.5k run – 6.0k bike – 0.5k run
- 13-14y: 2.0k run – 7.5k bike – 1.0k run
- 15-16y: 2.5k run – 10k bike – 2.5k run
BEST OF 3 + VOLUNTEER
The 2022 Cornish Tri Series consists of 6 scoring events. Age group winners (male & female) will be awarded 100 points for each of the scoring events - Points decrease by position, see RANKING SYSTEM. The final standings will be obtained by adding the points gained in your 3 best results from the scoring events.
To qualify for the Overall Series Awards, athletes need to complete a minimum number of 3 events (any combination of events) AND VOLUNTEER themselves or bring a volunteer along to at least 1 event.
Age Groups: Tri Start (8y), Tri Star 1 (9-10y), Tri Star 2 (11-12y), Tri Star 3 (13-14y), Youth (15-16y)</>
From the world’s 1st FREE Triathlon Series to pioneering triathlon at the School Games in Cornwall and Surrey, intoTRI inspires active lives through triathlon. By removing social and financial barriers, our charity creates a strong network that empowers people of all ages and abilities to challenge themselves and take up regular exercise.
£2 covers the cost for pool hire for a child at our School Games events. £50 pays for a bike rack, saving us dozens of pounds in hiring costs.

TICKETS

Choose between £100, £150 and £200 Race Passes to top up your intoTRI wallet and we’ll add a bonus of 5%, 10% or 15% respectively. Important:If you add event entries and a Race Pass to your cart at the same time, the pass is not applied to these event entries. Purchase the Race Pass first, then shop for events to your hearts content.
What happens to unused credit?Any credit will be rolled over to the following year (excluding the bonus payment).
Example: You topped up your account with £100 and received a £5 bonus payment. Due to injury, you miss out on the entire season, leaving your balance at £105. We deduct the bonus payment of £5 and carry over the £100 you put in.

Event Start: 2:00pm (5-14y) | 9:30am (15-16y)
Racing in a pandemic takes a little more forward planning for everyone. From self-marking for the swim at home to virtual race briefings and mandatory pre-event Covid-19 declaration forms, the event pack walks you through the different elements that you need to be aware of prior and during the event.
From Wednesday before the race onwards, the event pack will also show individual start and registration times as well as your bike racking slot.
Welcome to the Volunteer Zone – We are thrilled to have you on board!
YOU MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE Volunteers are the face and driving force of intoTRI. With roles from setup (day before) to registration, swim/bike/run marshal, transition zone and finish line, there is something for everyone. Most roles don’t require any prior knowledge – just a smile on your face and enthusiasm to help out. Minimum Age: 13y+ (a limited number of roles may be suitable for younger children). REWARDS:
1. Friends/family volunteering at your race: 50% OFF Everyone bringing a volunteer along for a Cornish Tri & Mini Tri event they participate in will receive a 50% credit on the price paid for a junior entry (junior event volunteers) or senior sprint entry (all senior event volunteers). The credit is added to the wallet in your intoTRI user account 3 days after the event. Wallet funds can be used towards any future event entries or merchandise on intotri.com.
2. Volunteer yourself: 100% CREDIT Everyone volunteering at a junior or senior event will receive a 100% credit on the entry fee for the type of race they volunteered at (ex parking / event shirt surcharge if applicable. All senior event volunteering credits based on sprint event entry). The credit is added to the wallet in your intoTRI user account 3 days after the event. Wallet funds can be used towards any future event entries or merchandise on intotri.com.
3. Volunteer for a club or school: ££ Donation If you are part of a club/school or community group supplying multiple volunteers for an event, you can use your volunteering activity to raise funds for your group. intoTRI makes a donation to the group for each volunteer who does not wish to receive a credit for future events. Donations are processed via bank transfer 3 days after the event.

Mini Hare (8-14y) – Bike CourseWe’ll be adhering to the latest Government guidelines at the time of our events in 2022 to make sure we’re keeping everyone safe. We’ve also introduced a 100% COVID-19 refund and deferral policy so that you can book your place with confidence.
EVENT CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID-19
If, due to Covid-19, intoTRI change the date of the Event, or, in exceptional
circumstances, cancel the Event, the Participant will have the option to receive a full refund
of their Entry Fee paid to date and any additional extras purchased and not received, less the Booking Fee.
SELF ISOLATION & LOCKDOWNS
If due to COVID-19, you need to self-isolate, are subject to a local lockdown or international quarantine restrictions, we will waive the Administration Fee to Defer to the following year or Transfer to another event in the Cornish Tri Series later in the year. Participants must notify intoTRI via email by the time that registration commences on the live event and provide evidence of the situation.
