intoTRI – Driven by Volunteers

Volunteers are the face and driving force of intoTRI. Find out more about the roles, rewards and time commitment below. Most roles don’t require any prior knowledge – just a smile on your face and enthusiasm to help out.

Taking on three disciplines is a test of skill and stamina, especially for the novices who get their first taste of triathlon at the Cornish Tri Series. Being cheered on and receiving directions from a marshal volunteering with us is what keeps them going and coming back for more. Volunteers are the face of intoTRI.

Every single event in the Cornish Tri & Mini Tri Series requires 50+ volunteers. Be one of them and make a difference to hundreds of kids and adults.

From setup to registration, swim/bike/run course to finish line, there is a volunteering role for everyone.  You will receive a volunteer pack by email 2 weeks prior to the event, describing your role in detail, and attend a briefing on race day. All kit and safety equipment provided.

Registration Desk

Event registration is the first touchpoint with our athletes on event day and sets the tone for the event. Help us make the process as smooth and user friendly as possible, especially for the large number of triathlon novices.

Course Marshals

From chief cheerleaders to vital safety net – volunteers along the swim, bike and run course are key to the success of our events. A friendly face is what keeps our athletes going and coming back for more!

Transition Zone

Nowhere can you feel the pulse and excitement of the event more clearly. From nervous first timers to uber smooth mermaids on wheels, help our athletes navigate the transition zone and provide assistance to our youngest triathletes.

Finish Line

Taking on three disciplines is a test of skill and stamina. Witness the joy and elation on the faces of our athletes as they cross the finish line, hand out medals, take off timing chips and provide that well deserved chilled drink.
